Hi, this is the GenWise team- we bring out this newsletter to help parents and educators to complement the work of formal schools and associated systems. We can help our children thrive in these complex times only by exchanging ideas and insights and working together.
“Humans of GenWise - Stories of our Tribe” is a series dedicated to weaving together the vibrant tapestries of our community through the stories of our alumni and staff. In every corner of GenWise, there are stories of growth, discovery, and connection waiting to be told. Today, we begin with three remarkable individuals: Aaditya Bontra, Harsh Bajaj, and Agnes Chiramal. Their journeys exemplify the spirit of exploration, passion, and transformation that defines GenWise.
Aaditya Bontra: A Symphony of Passions
At just 15, Aaditya Bontra from Navrachana International School, Vadodara, is a testament to the boundless potential of youth. A student athlete, a poet, a Gold Scholar on Asset Talent Search, and an aspiring behavioral economist, Aaditya's story is one of multidimensional growth fostered by GenWise. The camps he attended were not just about learning; they were about meeting awesome people like Dr. Ashish Kulkarni and Dr. Sharoon Sunny, who helped him uncover his passions for economics and poetry. However, it was the moments of playing dodgeball, dancing to DJ Shetty, and the democracy simulation with Legos that truly encapsulated the essence of his experience - moments made invaluable by the friends he made, his tribe. Aaditya's journey from being reserved to embracing his true self highlights the transformative power of community.

Harsh Bajaj: The Quest for Self-Expression
Harsh Bajaj's tale is one of discovery and clarity. An all-rounder from Inventure Academy (Bengaluru), Harsh's myriad interests from automobiles to cricket, mirrored the breadth of his curiosity. However, it was the Career Discovery and Planning course at GenWise during the Summer of his Grade 11 that illuminated his potential path to specialisation. Interactions with industry experts like Siddharth Patil (EVP of Marketplace at Lyft) and the inspiring concept of self-expression introduced by Shrikant “Sir”, paved the way for his passion in hardware. From building processors to researching semiconductors, Harsh's journey is a profound example of finding one's true calling amidst an ocean of interests.

Agnes: Crafting Connections Through Curiosity
Agnes's story is a heartwarming narrative of connections, learning, and the magic of human interactions. A Sociology student with a passion for sports, music, and people, her internships at GenWise have been transformative. The bonds formed with participants on GenWise programs across multiple years, the essence of healthy competitiveness, and the invaluable lessons in creative problem-solving have shaped her. Agnes's belief in the magic of life and the value of every encounter echoes the ethos of GenWise, where every moment is a lesson and every person a story.
